Brunn’s guitar sound is the main attraction for me: not only does he master the peculiar Balkan rhythms, but he can handle timbres from Cuba to Brazil just as well, so you get a record that literally thinks outside the box and that undoubtedly delivers on the promise of innovation and breathes new life into somewhat dormant Bulgarian folk.
